History of Cheshunt
Cheshunt is a town in Hertfordshire, and is a London commuter belt served by Cheshunt railway station. The town is located 14 miles (23 km) from Charing Cross, making it one of the closest parts of Hertfordshire to Central London.

The name comes from Cestrehunt (which is mentioned in the Doomsday Book) and was a settlement on Ermine Street, being the main Roman road leading north from London.

Being located in the Lea Valley, Cheshunt has access to the Lee Valley Park. This award-winning park is 26 miles and runs along the banks of the River Lee, from Ware to the Thames at East India Dock Basin.
